“My passion has always been to create some form of art from sculpting to painting. I often just pour what I am feeling right into my work.”
Raised in Sarasota Florida, I took an interest to drawing at an early age. Some of my happiest memories are of creating, whether it be simple drawing or painting. I just remember always being enthusiastic about using my mind and hands to create. I loved taking art class in junior high through high school. My plan was to go on to college and major in art. However, during my senior year in high school I wanted to see the world and moved across the country my passion was reignited at various times over the last twenty years, but my career, and a family, left little time for art. I never lost the need to create, though.
My passion has been reignited and I feel as though I am exploding! I have found that I need art, and art needs me! Art provides me the outlet that I need to release the life emotions that I experience daily, whether they be happiness, sadness, disappointment, or celebration. I love that I can pour myself into my piece and forget about everything else that is going on around me. I am inspired by the world around me and often paint my emotions as witnessed in various mixed medial or abstract paintings as well as in the light and whimsical works of art.
